Send
Send manages outbound communication to a Contact audience. It brings content, audience rules, consent, scheduling, deliveries, and analytics into one campaign workflow.
Start a send
Section titled “Start a send”- Open Marketing → Send.
- Click New Send and choose a template whose channel is marked ready.
- Choose a category and configure the channel content and sender.
- Select a saved Segment or build inline Contact rules.
- Configure consent, suppressions, frequency caps, and schedule.
- Review the readiness checklist, then request approval, schedule, or launch as available.
Email is the primary ready channel. The template picker labels other experiences as requiring setup or coming soon; use those readiness labels as the source of truth for what can be launched in your workspace.
Categories and delivery modes
Section titled “Categories and delivery modes”| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Marketing | Applies consent, unsubscribe, suppression, and frequency controls. |
| Sales | Uses a connected mailbox and supports reply tracking. |
| Transactional | Sends service messages outside marketing subscription and frequency rules. |
| System | Covers internal or platform communication. |
A fixed send targets an approved audience for a defined launch. A continuous send can evaluate contacts over time and deliver when they become eligible.
Build tab
Section titled “Build tab”The Build tab contains the launch configuration:
- channel content, sender, previews, test delivery, and variants;
- saved or inline audience rules and estimated membership;
- subscription type, suppression lists, and frequency caps;
- start time, timezone, recurrence, or continuous entry behavior;
- a goal used to measure the desired outcome.
Marketing email includes the required footer and unsubscribe behavior. Subscription types and suppressions help keep consent decisions separate from the audience rules themselves.
Status and approval
Section titled “Status and approval”Send campaigns can move through Draft, Pending Approval, Scheduled, Live, Paused, Completed, and Archived states. Approval requirements depend on workspace policy and the campaign configuration. Live or scheduled sends can be paused when delivery should stop.
Deliveries and analytics
Section titled “Deliveries and analytics”The Deliveries tab shows each recipient’s delivery state, attempts, and retry information. The Analytics tab aggregates the events supported by the chosen channel, such as delivery, opens, clicks, failures, or replies.
Use a test delivery and verify the audience estimate before launch. After launch, investigate failures in Deliveries before interpreting the aggregate rates.
