POS Reports show how your registers performed over a period: what sold, who sold it, how customers paid, and whether each cash drawer balanced.

Open Point of Sale → Reports. You need the pos.view_sales permission. Without pos.view_all_sales, the reports only include sales where you were the cashier.

Set From and To (the current month by default, up to 366 days) and pick a Branch, or keep All branches. Voided sales are left out.

The summary cards at the top show Gross sales, Net sales, Refunds, and the number of Sales and returns.

Tab Shows
Sales summary One row per day: sales and returns, gross sales, refunds, discounts, net sales, cost of goods, gross profit, margin, taxes, and total
Sales by item Net quantity and sales for each item and variant, with cost of goods and gross profit
Sales by category The same figures grouped by product category
Sales by employee Sales and returns for each cashier
Payment methods Payments, refunds, net amount, and tips for each payment method
Taxes Taxable sales and tax collected for each tax rate
Discounts How often each discount was used, split into item and sale discounts. Custom discounts appear as Open discount.
Shifts Every shift with its branch, register, who opened and closed it, opening, expected, and closing cash, the difference, and the shift’s sales totals

Each table can be searched, sorted, and filtered by column, and shows totals at the bottom.

Click a row on the Shifts tab to open the shift summary:

  • Shift information: branch, register, business date, and who opened and closed it.
  • Cash drawer: cash payments and refunds, paid in and paid out, expected cash, counted closing cash, and the difference. A shortage shows in red.
  • Sales summary and Payment methods for that shift.
  • Any notes.

Use this to follow up on a drawer that didn’t balance.

Every POS sale is also an invoice, and every tender is a payment, so POS sales appear in the Reports tabs of Invoices and Payments, and in Reports. Use those to save or export reports.
