Tasks

Tasks are a focused view of task-type Activities. This module provides a streamlined interface for managing your to-do list.

Tasks help you track action items, follow-ups, and work that needs to be done. They are part of the unified Activities system but displayed in a dedicated view for better task management.

Paginated data table with all task activities. Supports sorting, filtering, and server-side pagination.

Cards grouped by status (Pending, Completed, Cancelled) with drag-and-drop to update status. Uses cursor-based pagination per column.

  1. Navigate to Tasks in the sidebar
  2. Click New Task
  3. Enter the task name
  4. Optionally add description, due date, priority, and owner
  5. Link to entities (contacts, deals, accounts, contacts)
  6. Click Create

The task is created as an activity with type: task.

The list view shows all tasks in a data table:

  • Checkbox - Quick toggle completion
  • Task Name - What needs to be done
  • Priority - Visual priority indicator
  • Due Date - When it’s due (overdue highlighted in red)
  • Status - Current state

Quick Complete: Click the checkbox next to any task to mark it complete.

From Detail View:

  1. Open the task details
  2. Change status to “Completed”
  3. Save changes

Set priority to organize your work:

Tasks past their due date with status “Pending” are highlighted:

  • Due date appears in red
  • Helps identify what needs immediate attention
  • Filter to show only overdue tasks

Tasks are for work you do. Meetings are for scheduled interactions with others.

Tasks can be linked to CRM entities:

  • Create a task from a contact, deal, or account detail page
  • The task appears in that entity’s activity history
  • Helps track what needs to be done for specific opportunities

Contact Follow-up:

  1. Meet with a contact
  2. Create a task: “Send proposal by Friday”
  3. Link task to the contact
  4. Complete task when done

Deal Next Steps:

  1. Complete a sales call
  2. Create task: “Schedule demo with technical team”
  3. Link task to the deal
  4. Track progress in deal activities
  1. Be specific - Clear task names prevent confusion
  2. Set due dates - Helps prioritize and track progress
  3. Use priority - Mark urgent items as high priority
  4. Link to entities - Connect tasks to relevant contacts/deals
  5. Complete promptly - Check off tasks when done
  6. Review daily - Start each day by reviewing pending tasks

Track task completion in Reports:

  • Tasks created vs. completed
  • Average completion time
  • Overdue task count
  • Tasks by owner
