Tasks
Tasks are a focused view of task-type Activities. This module provides a streamlined interface for managing your to-do list.
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Tasks help you track action items, follow-ups, and work that needs to be done. They are part of the unified Activities system but displayed in a dedicated view for better task management.

Task Fields

List View
Section titled “List View”Paginated data table with all task activities. Supports sorting, filtering, and server-side pagination.
Kanban View
Section titled “Kanban View”Cards grouped by status (Pending, Completed, Cancelled) with drag-and-drop to update status. Uses cursor-based pagination per column.
Working with Tasks
Section titled “Working with Tasks”Creating a Task
Section titled “Creating a Task”- Navigate to Tasks in the sidebar
- Click New Task
- Enter the task name
- Optionally add description, due date, priority, and owner
- Link to entities (contacts, deals, accounts, contacts)
- Click Create
The task is created as an activity with type: task.
Task List
Section titled “Task List”The list view shows all tasks in a data table:
- Checkbox - Quick toggle completion
- Task Name - What needs to be done
- Priority - Visual priority indicator
- Due Date - When it’s due (overdue highlighted in red)
- Status - Current state
Completing Tasks
Section titled “Completing Tasks”Quick Complete: Click the checkbox next to any task to mark it complete.
From Detail View:
- Open the task details
- Change status to “Completed”
- Save changes
Task Priority
Section titled “Task Priority”Set priority to organize your work:

| Low | Gray | Can wait, nice to have |
| Medium | Amber | Normal priority (default) |
| High | Red | Urgent, needs immediate attention |
Overdue Tasks
Section titled “Overdue Tasks”Tasks past their due date with status “Pending” are highlighted:
- Due date appears in red
- Helps identify what needs immediate attention
- Filter to show only overdue tasks
Task vs. Meeting
Section titled “Task vs. Meeting”Choose the right activity type:

Tasks are for work you do. Meetings are for scheduled interactions with others.
Linking Tasks
Section titled “Linking Tasks”Tasks can be linked to CRM entities:
- Create a task from a contact, deal, or account detail page
- The task appears in that entity’s activity history
- Helps track what needs to be done for specific opportunities
Example Workflows
Section titled “Example Workflows”Contact Follow-up:
- Meet with a contact
- Create a task: “Send proposal by Friday”
- Link task to the contact
- Complete task when done
Deal Next Steps:
- Complete a sales call
- Create task: “Schedule demo with technical team”
- Link task to the deal
- Track progress in deal activities
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Be specific - Clear task names prevent confusion
- Set due dates - Helps prioritize and track progress
- Use priority - Mark urgent items as high priority
- Link to entities - Connect tasks to relevant contacts/deals
- Complete promptly - Check off tasks when done
- Review daily - Start each day by reviewing pending tasks
Task Reports
Section titled “Task Reports”Track task completion in Reports:
- Tasks created vs. completed
- Average completion time
- Overdue task count
- Tasks by owner
