# Ads

> Compare paid-ad spend and engagement with the contacts and deals they bring in.

Ads brings your advertising data into Workstation. Use it to go from network numbers (spend, impressions, clicks) to the contacts, qualified leads, and won deals those ads actually produced.

## Connect ad accounts

Admins connect ad accounts in **Settings → Integrations & Developers → Ads**. Supported networks are **Meta**, **Google Ads**, and **LinkedIn**. TikTok is listed but marked as coming soon.

The settings page has two tabs:

- **Ad accounts**: connect, reconnect, or disconnect accounts. Turn on **Auto tracking** to add UTM parameters to new ads automatically, so the contacts they bring in are linked back to the ad.
- **Contact syncing**: map lead forms from Meta, Google, and LinkedIn so each submitted lead becomes a contact.

After an account is connected, click **Sync from networks** (or **Sync now**) on the Ads page to pull campaigns, ad sets, ads, creatives, and daily metrics. The page shows when each account last synced and any error that needs attention.

## Review performance

1. Open **Marketing → Ads**.
2. Pick a date range.
3. Switch between **Ad campaigns**, **Ad sets**, and **Ads**.
4. Filter by network, status, objective, or spend.
5. Click a row to drill down to its ad sets and ads, or open an ad to see its creative, daily performance, and attributed contacts.

Columns include spend, reach, impressions, clicks, unique clicks, conversions, engagements, and video views, plus calculated values such as CTR, CPC, CPM, cost per contact, cost per qualified contact, and cost per converted contact. Use **Columns** to choose which ones to show.

An ad campaign record has a **Funnel** tab that lists every contact attributed to it and where they are: no deal yet, has a deal, qualified, or converted.

## Qualified and converted contacts

By default:

- a contact is **qualified** when they have an open deal;
- a contact is **converted** when they have a won deal.

To match your own sales process, click **Configure metrics** on the Ads page, or open **Settings → Integrations & Developers → Ads Funnel Metrics**. For each metric, turn on **Customize** and choose what to match on:

- **Deals**: the contact has a deal matching your conditions, such as "stage is Proposal".
- **Contact fields**: the contact itself matches, such as "Lead status is Qualified".

Conditions use the same rule builder as [Segments](https://workstation.repzo.com/docs/marketing/segments), including custom [Properties](https://workstation.repzo.com/docs/administration/properties). Your definitions apply to the Ads columns and the campaign funnel straight away.

Attribution is only as good as the tracking behind it. If numbers look low, check that auto tracking is on, lead forms are mapped, and your [Forms](https://workstation.repzo.com/docs/marketing/forms) keep UTM values.
