# Header block

Displays plain text in a larger, bold font to start a group of content.

## Fields

| Field | Type | Description | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| `type` | String | The type of block. For a header block, `type` is always `header`. | Required |
| `text` | [Text object](https://workstation.repzo.com/docs/developers/block-kit/objects/text-object) | The text for the block, as a `plain_text` text object. Maximum length for the `text` in this field is 150 characters. | Required |
| `block_id` | String | A unique identifier for the block. Maximum length is 255 characters. It must be unique within the message or view — a duplicate is replaced and reported as a warning. | Optional |

> - `level` is accepted, but every header renders at the same size.
