# Table Views

> Save table setups as views, pick up to five view tabs, and set workspace default tabs.

A view is a saved way of looking at a list: its filters, columns, sorting, and display mode. Views appear as tabs above the list, so you can jump between "My deals", "Closing this month", and your own saved views in one click.

Views are available on most list pages, including Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Activities, Tickets, Projects, Orders, Invoices, Price Offers, Campaigns, Requests, Forms, Segments, and Send.

## Kinds of views

| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| **Standard views** | Built-in views for each module, such as **All deals**, **My deals**, **Closing this month**, or **SLA breached** for tickets |
| **Saved views** | Views people create. A saved view is **Private** (only you) or shared with **Everyone** |
| **Admin promoted** | Shared views that an admin has promoted so everyone can find them easily |

## Your view tabs

You choose which views appear as tabs, up to **5**. At least one must stay.

- Click **+** (**Add or create view**) next to the tabs.
- Under **Add view**, pick a standard or shared view. Filter by category or search by name.
- Drag tabs to reorder them. Use **Remove from tabs** to hide one; the view itself is not deleted.
- Use **Set as default** on a tab to open that view first whenever you visit the list.

Your tabs, their order, and your default only affect you.

## Change a view

Change filters, columns, sorting, or the display mode while a tab is open. The tab shows it has unsaved changes and offers:

| On a saved view | On a standard view |
|---|---|
| **Save changes** updates the view | **Save tab** keeps your changes as your personal version of that standard view |
| **Save as new** creates a new view from the current setup | **Save as view** creates a new saved view |
| **Discard** goes back to the saved setup | **Discard** goes back to the saved setup |

When you have customized a standard view, **Reset** (Reset to default view) brings back the original. Your changes to a standard view never affect anyone else.

Column widths, column order, frozen columns, sorting, and page size are remembered per tab for you, even without saving the view. **Discard** clears them so the view's own setup applies again. Filters live in the page address, so the browser's Back button and bookmarks keep them.

## Create a view

1. Set up the list the way you want it.
2. Click **+** and choose **Create new view**, or click **Save as new** / **Save as view**.
3. Enter a **Name**, and choose the **Display mode**: **Table**, **Kanban**, **Calendar**, or **Gantt**, depending on the module.
4. Optionally turn on **Public** (share with everyone), **Add to Favorite**, or **Set as Default**.
5. Click **Create**.

A view saves:

| Setting | Example |
|---|---|
| Filters | Stage is Proposal, owner is me |
| Columns | Which columns show, and their order |
| Sorting | Close date, newest first |
| Display mode | Table, Kanban, Calendar, or Gantt |
| Kanban grouping | Group the board by stage or status |

On boards, **Card setup** lets you pick the properties shown on each card. It only affects you.

## Manage views and workspace defaults

Click **All views** in the add-view dialog to open **Manage views** for the module.

- **All views** lists every view you can see, with its owner and who it is shared with. From here you can make a view private or share it with everyone, delete your own views, and (admins) **Promote view** or **Remove promotion**.
- **Default views** (owners and admins only) sets the tabs people start with until they personalize their own tab bar. Pick standard or shared views, drag them into order, choose the startup view, and click **Save defaults**. A **Tab bar preview** shows the result.

Admins can promote someone else's shared view, but only its creator can edit or delete it.

## Tips

- Name views by what they show, such as "Deals closing this month".
- Share views the whole team needs, and keep personal ones private.
- Set workspace default tabs so new teammates start with useful views.
- Use **Save tab** to tweak a standard view for yourself instead of making a near-copy.
